Description

are early 20th century red clay tile from Moravian Pottery and Tile Works, circa 1901. This 3.5" square tile is part of the Castle Acre series, inspired by medieval European floor tiles and designed by Henry Chapman Mercer. Tiles from this series were used in the original floor installations of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, with Gardner herself collaborating on the design during the museum's construction (1899–1902). Patina consistent with age. No visible cracks or repairs some minor dings commensurate to age and use. Please see photos for condition. Measurements: 3.5" Pickup category timeslot {A}
