Handsome late-19th to early-20th-century antique solid Elm two-piece hutch cabinet, combining deep, traditional storage with elegant vertical presence. This classic dining room statement piece splits into two components (base and upper hutch) for easier transport and versatility. The lower buffet base features a beautifully structured silhouette housing two side-by-side frieze drawers accented with traditional, ornate brass drawer pulls. Below, a spacious two-door lower cabinet opens via matching wood-turned knobs to reveal a sturdy central shelf dividing substantial storage space. The upper hutch structure focuses on display functionality, showing off an open plate rack shelf supported by subtle scrolled corbels, a detailed tongue-and-groove background panel, and an elegantly carved decorative crown pediment framing the top. Dimensions (Base): 48" Width x 19.5" Depth x 37.5" HeightDimensions (Hutch Top): 51" HeightTotal Combined Height: 79" Height Design & Style Context: This piece is highly characteristic of the Late Victorian / Jacobean Revival movements popular from 1880 through the early 1900s. Rather than a singular high-art designer name, these substantial pieces were typically manufactured by high-quality regional workshops across Great Britain and North America. They were built to mimic massive 17th-century European "court cupboards" and "welsh dressers," fulfilling a demand for historical weight and cozy, farmhouse-oriented utility in late 19th-century dining spaces.
