Kelley Aitken - Blown Glass Vase • Kelley Aitken was born in Vancouver, B.C. She moved to Ontario for her formal post-secondary education, graduating from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree. • During the mid-to-late 1980's Kelley worked out of Granville Island in the New-Small and Sterling Studio Glass. • She has exhibited across Canada and internationally in countries like Ecuador. • She is represented in the collection of the Canada Council Art Bank. • She continues to exhibit, including Filamentous (2022), a collaborative natural installation and painting exhibition at The Red Head Gallery in Toronto. • This vase is signed by the artist, ans dated "87" for 1987. • Aitken is highly recognized as an author and creative writing editor. A selection of her books include: Love in a Warm Climate (1998), First Writes (2005), and Canadian Shield (2017). • In excellent condition, no cracks, bruises, or chips.
