A fantastic oversized, handmade wooden counterweight trebuchet model with genuine working mechanics and loads of character. This substantial piece was lovingly built as a family project and was enjoyed by a father and his sons. Constructed from solid wood with pegged joints, a long throwing arm, leather sling, rope mechanism and large counterweight box currently filled with stones. A wonderful piece for a medieval-history enthusiast, military-history collector, engineer, educator, reenactor, or anyone who appreciates unusual handmade mechanical objects.
