Vintage Limited Edition Lithograph "Advance Notice" by Michael Knigin. Very rare Artist Proof. Circa 1980. Mixed media,lithograph over photographic offset. Excellent Condition. Never Framed. Aquired by Ballet Creole in 2005 as part of a large collection of rare vintage lithographs, now available for sale for the first time! Knigin is a well known painter and printmaker based in New York. Since 1968, he has continuously exhibited in public and private galleries throughout the United States, Japan and Europe. His latest exhibitions were in galleries in New York and Milwaukee. Knigin's work may be found in public, corporate and private collections on three continents. In addition to being a full professor at the Pratt Institute, Knigin has taught at Yale and was appointed to the NASA Art Team to cover the launching of the shuttles Atlantis and Discovery in 1988. His work may be found in the permanent collections of The Whitney, The Smithsonian Institute, The Brooklyn Museum, The Carnegie Mellon Institute, and the Museum of Modern Art in Mexico, among many others around the world. He has won several awards and commissions, and is the author of two hooks on lithography.
