Yale University Vintage Brass Bulldog Paperweight

Pair of vintage modernist table lamps featuring stacked clear and frosted lucite square elements with a central frosted lucite column. Chrome and brass tone metal fittings with harp and finial. Late mid-century modern style, reminiscent of Karl Springer–era design and attributed to Bauer Lighting.

Each lamp measures approximately 27 inches tall (to finial) with a 7 inch square base. Both lamps are wired.

Condition:
One lamp is in excellent vintage condition. The second lamp is in good vintage condition with a small bump to the edge of the top lucite square. Normal age-appropriate wear throughout.

Vintage Arabia Finel Enamelware Bowl, Kaj Franck, Finland, 1960s

Pair of mid-century modern triangular bookends featuring abstract enameled medallions. Copper construction with applied enamel decoration. Each retains original green felt base. Marked Renoir / Matisse on underside.
Produced by Renoir of Hollywood / Matisse, an American firm active in the 1940s–1960s known for modernist copper and enamel designs inspired by contemporary art. Although primarily a jewelry company - rare unique decorative objects were produced as well .
Founded in 1946 by Jerry Fels, Renoir of California produced copper jewelry until about 1964.  The Matisse mark was used only on the luscious enameled pieces produced starting in the early 1950s.  The Sauteur line by Renoir was originally sterling pieces produced from the mid-1950s until 1960.  To accommodate changing styles and the difficulty of producing the same copper designs in sterling, the line was redesigned with the brushed gold finish.  These “Golden Glow” pieces were only made from 1961-1963.
Approximate dimensions (each): 6.5&#34; H x 4.5&#34; W x 3&#34; D (approximate).
Condition: As-is. Surface wear, scuffs, and scratches consistent with age and use. Enamel intact. Felt bases show wear. One bookend shows an aged split to the wood body, as pictured.
