<p>This Inuit soapstone carving depicts a hunter at a seal breathing hole. The specific artist of this piece is Pinnie Nuktialuk. (Birth 1930- death 1969) He was from Inujuak formerly Port Harrison. Pinnie was part of the first generation of Inuit artists whose work was popularized in the 1950s and 60's. His work is known for the popular "Port Harrison style" The disc number E1-462 E1 is the region Nunavik and 462 is the artist's ID. The height of this carving is 13 in, in height and the base measures approximately 10 in by 5 in. <span style"font-size: 12pt;">There is no paperwork available for this sculpture. The information is as per resources available and has been described too the best of our ability.</span></p>
