Pyrex Watercolour Cobalt Blue Lagoon Mixing Bowl

• This wooden horse mannequin has
articulated legs with joints at hock, knee,
and shoulder. The same for the back
lags.
• The head is attached to nineteen
segmented articulated pieces, allowing
for multiple poses.
• The articulated joints use both cotter
pins, and small screw and bolts to allow
movement.
• The detail on this model is impressive,
with carved horseshoes, and a detailed
face, and shaping of the body.
• I have not been able to find the makers
mark or the country of origin on this
piece, and the joint section on the front
legs differs from other models I&#39;ve
researched.

replacement stand has been made.

Johann Haviland Blue Garland, 57 Piece Set

• Judi Dyelle graduated with honours
from the Ontario College of Art in 1967.
She was awarded the Lieutenant
Governor&#39;s Medal of Excellence.
• After graduating she received a Canada
Council Grant and spent a year and a
half traveling in Japan and studied with
Tatsuzo Shimaoka
• When Judi returned to Canada, she
began teaching pottery in Toronto and
continued teaching in Vancouver,
Montreal and Victoria.
• Judi was invited to participate in an
International Ceramic Festival and
exhibition in Mokpo, Korea.
• In 1984 Judi and husband Robin
Hopper founded both the collective,
Fired Up! Contemporary Works in Clay&#39;
and the Metchosin International Summer
School of the Arts (MISSA).
• This piece is thrown porcelain, gas fired
reduction atmosphere to cone 10. The
glaze variations result from it&#39;s placement
in the kiln, and where the flames moved
inside the kiln. There is an intentional
crackle finish to the glaze.

Female Pig Sow Figurine (H453) is tied to
the George Zoltan Lefton Company,
founded in 1941 by George Zoltan
Lefton.
• The &#34;Occupied Japan&#34; era (1946-1952)
saw the first Lefton China pieces, many
produced by the Miyawo Company,
arrive in the U.S. The H453 figurine likely
dates from this period.

designed coffee mug.
• This was fired to cone 6 in an electric
kiln with a buff coloured cream
stoneware clay with underglazes for the
colour.
• The cat design has been sgraphtoed
into the raw clay, and various
underglazes and oxides have been
added. The handle has also been
creatively made!
• Interesting signature as well. I have not
been able to find the name of the potter
that made this pice.

• Blue Mountain Pottery (BMP) was a
Canadian company established in 1953
in Collingwood, Ontario, known for its
unique drip glaze pottery. It was founded
by Jozo Weider, who also owned the
Blue Mountain ski resort, and developed
by Weider, Dennis Tupy, and Mirek
Hambalek. The company ceased
operations in 2004.

• GB Guido Bergna was founded in the
1930&#39;s and quickly became the leader in
stainless steel coffee makers. It was later
taken over by Bialetti in the 2000&#39;s.
• This piece has the
&#34;gb&#34; etched onto the
side of the upper section, so was made
between 1980 and 2000.
• The Guido Bergna Italian Coffee Maker
Model INOX 10-18 is in Italy. It espresso
maker is compatible with gas stoves or
electric.

Guido Bergna Italian Espresso Machine

• This is a large hand formed cone
shaped vase with 3 sculpted penguin
forms at the base.
• The base is covered with a fabric most
likely to cover rough spots, so I do not
know who made this unique piece!
• Crystalline glazes are one of the most
difficult glazes to perfect, so whoever
made this piece is an accomplished
potter. The top lip appears to be
chipped, but is not. The potter decided
to leave the edge in a freeform style.
• Cone 10 porcelain or possibly white
stoneware.
• In good condition, no cracks. or chips,
but one penguin does has a broken beak

• Wooden Mexican Folk Art Angels with

state of Oaxaca, and the state of
Guerrero known for their

yet it retains at the details of those larger.
This one has a &#34;beauty mark&#34; on the
cheek, and mole on the bottom lip.

• Kurt Wokan (1927-1995) was a German
glass artist and designer known for his
work with Ingrid Glashütten (Ingrid Glass)
in the 1960&#39;s and 1970&#39;s.
• He was the creative director at Ingrid
Glashütten, and is recognized for his
Brutalist style, characterized by textured
surfaces often resembling bark or ice.
• A prominent feature of his work was the
use of textured glass, giving his pieces a
unique tactile quality.
• Many of his creations were produced
using molds, allowing for consistent
shapes and textures in his designs.

• The colouring in the glaze graduates
from top to bottom; first the buff, then to
pink, and finally to blue with white
highlight sections.
• Buff coloured clay, fired to cone 6 or

• The handle has a very interesting form.
• Both mugs have chop marks, but after
researching, I have not been able to find
the name of the potter.

• Scott, a self-taught potter, started
making pots in 1972. After travelling
around BC, Scott settled on Denman Is.
• Scott and Garnet have enjoyed a 50+
year career that includes high-end large
decorative pieces, ceramic murals that
can be the centrepiece of a room, high-
volume production work, dozens of craft
fairs, and many gallery exhibits.
• Garnet, his partner at the time was the
decorator, and designer of many of the
images like the cat on this plate.
• A light cream stoneware clay, finely
thrown, with a &#34;foot&#34;. Fired to cone 10 in
a gas kiln. Various oxides have been
used to create the cat image, and semi-
matte glaze has been applied. Signed on
the reverse with &#34;S&G B&#34;

• The company was founded in 1953 by
Jozo Wider in Collingwood, Ontario,
Canada.
• The company was famous for using a
trademarked &#34;blue/green flow glaze&#34;
glazing process on its red clay.
• The bookends were glazed slightly
different then some of their other pieces,
as it was only the mane and the eyes that
have the green/blue glaze.
This bookend was made between 1960
and 2004 when the company closed.

body with arms and legs, and collects
the juice for pouring.
• This ceramic piece is hand painted in
black, umber, orange, yellow, green,

• Jack Olive grew up in Thunder Bay,
Ontario, attended Moorhead State
College in Minnesota, and was a
biochemist for Oregon Medical School.
• He returned to Moorhead and studied
ceramics and graphics.
• In 1971 he moved to Vancouver and
was a founding member and director of
the Vancouver Clayworks Society - a co-
op of 12 members, and set up shop on
Granville Island.
• Jack moved to the Sunshine Coast and
has been working as a production potter.
• This piece was fired to cone one with
over and under glaze decoration. It is
food safe, and can be used in the oven
or the microwave.
• In excellent condition, no breaks,
cracks, or chips. There is a &#34;firing crack&#34;
that happened the piece was in the kiln,
but does not effect the pottery at all.
