This is a Original Wind-Up Tin Toy made in Japan circa early 1960s.
A &#34;Holy Grail&#34; of sci-fi tin toys Inspired by the classic 1950s movie Forbidden Planet.
There have been countless reproductions over the years, but this is one of the originals.
one hand is missing, extremely common as in the 1950/60&#39;s they used rubber for the hands rather than plastic or metal, which came later. The remaining hand is in fair condition though brital from age.The robot does not appear to be functional (walking/sparks) but the legs walk when the robot is held upside down. 
Could possibly be restored and great addition to a collection!
