Leopard Cone & Aluminum Bookends

• This is a pair of bookends made from natural Leopard Cone seashells on an aluminum and metal mounting. • The shells are attached via an adhesive to a metal mount on the base, and on the side piece. • The shells themselves have also been "painted or coated" in an aluminium to enhance their design, and creates an interesting reflective result. • Leopard Cone seashell, latin: Conus leopards or Conus Litteratus Arabicus. • This species lives in the Indian Ocean off Aldabra, Chagos, Madagascar, the Mascarene basin, Mauritius, and Tanzania; in the entire Indo-Pacific Region; off Australia (Northern Territory, Queensland, Western Australia). • In good condition, no breaks, cracks, or chips. Some corrosion of the aluminium at the base.
