In classical antiquity, the cornucopia, also called the horn of plenty, was a symbol of abundance and nourishment, commonly a large horn-shaped container overflowing with produce, flowers or nuts.
In modern days, this is a gift that would be placed on the tables for guests that attend the wedding.
The person that originally purchased it, bought it at Romanelli's in Naples from the hallmark sticker on the bottom.
